American Association of Women Dentists

In 1921, 12 women dentists met in Milwaukee, WI and formed the Federation of American Women Dentists. This group became the American Association of Women Dentists (AAWD).

The founders intended AAWD to be a support organization to share their common interests and to enjoy friendships and camaraderie.

This continues to be the driving force of the group today.
